5.2 Technical Details:

Hiring of technical Services for Design and Development of Flight Control Computers (FCCs)

1.Scope of the work:

The augmentation by hiring of trained manpower for technical services is urgently required to assist the design team to carry out the below mentioned activities to meet the project schedule.

The nature of technical activities, hired manpower is expected to support are

a. Hardware development activities

1. Literature study, Component selection, schematic generation, net list verification, Part list

finalization, Circuit Simulation

2. Design analysis (Tolerance analysis, PCB thermal analysis, Power budget analysis, Reliability

analysis, Derating analysis, loading analysis ac & dc, SI analysis, timing analysis etc.)

3. PCB design activities, Verification of Gerber files and support towards completion of design review

4. Finalization of SRU and LRU level test cases and preparation of SRU & LRU ATP

5. Certification of SRU ATEs for FCC requirements

6. Technical coordination towards realization of FCC prototype modules and performance evaluation at SRU level & LRU level,

7. Technical coordination for manufacturing support for FCC LRUs, Failure analysis & Debugging

Support for SRUs during functional and ESS Testing.

8. Support for Mini Bird & Iron Bird Integration of FCC LRUs

9. Preparation/Review of all design documents for obtaining type approval for FCCs

10. Technical support towards maintenance of FCC hardware and SRU ATEs

b. FPGA development activities

1) Generation of Functional Requirement document

2) Design, coding and simulation activities using VHDL. Knowledge of VERILOG is desirable

3) Development of test bench and functional testing of FPGA code using ModelSim or equivalent simulator

4) Design implementation and carry out all required analysis

5) In system hardware Verification & Validation of FPGA code at SRU and LRU level

6) Implementation of changes if any and design freeze

7) Technical interaction with IV&V team of FPGA code towards leading to certification of FPGA design

8) Generation of design and analysis documents

9) Technical documentation towards certification of FPGA code

c. Device driver & test software development activities

1) Design, coding of device drivers and ATP Software for FCCs

2) Technical coordination with test system and software development teams for carrying out hardware evaluation and system integration activities at Mini bird lab of ADE

3) Technical coordination with software development team for hardware software integration, Isolation of faults and closure of RFAs Apart from the above-mentioned activities the Hired manpower has to provide support for design iterations required in hardware, firmware and test software based on feedback at various integration levels or due to changes in system requirements. As per ADE estimation required activities can be completed by 432 man months (18 engineers with minimum two year experience for 2 year period).

a) Hardware development

Experience: Two years of working experience in Pspice/OrCAD simulations, MathCAD, Servo loop & filter design, Analog Board design, Power Supply design, Tolerance analysis, PCB thermal analysis, Power budget analysis, Reliability analysis, Derating analysis, loading analysis related to Embedded Systems having Microcontrollers and Microprocessors from POWER PC architecture family (like PPC405, PPC440, MPC555, MPC5XXX)

b) FPGA Development Activities:

Experience: Two years of working experience in the domain of FPGA, VLSI, VHDL/VERILOG, XILINX-ISE, Model Sim, Actel LIBERO, Testing, Trouble shooting of complex digital hardware, test plan/ test procedure preparation etc.

c) Device driver & test software development activities

system (RTOS), Device drivers, debugger, Microcontrollers and Microprocessors from POWER PC architecture family, Green Hills S/W tools
