We are looking to hire a Software Engineer to join our team!

Education/Experience/Skill

Relevant College Diploma or 3-5 years equivalent QE industry experience.

Advanced knowledge of more than one core operating system.

Expert use of the product with expanded customer knowledge.

Acquires technical knowledge quickly, possessing both highly specialized technical skills coupled with broader computer competence

Places a high value on time effectiveness. Efficiently uses time to get results. Sets realistic time goals, juggling multiple tasks without risk to quality.

Develops resourceful solutions despite limited resources and sees projects to completion without supervision.

Possesses in depth scripting proficiency in relevant scripting languages and automation.

Understands the relationship between team-owned components and those with which they interface.

Responsibility/Complexity/Impact

Collaborate with development and other QE on test execution.

Write, maintain, and execute testware (test cases, plans, reports, etc) for complex features.

Can effectively augment and use test automation to increase the thoroughness of testing.

Detects gaps or oversights in implementation decisions as well as recommending improvements in functionality.

Identify and communicate risks based on technical knowledge and experience.

Review and give feedback on requirement documents based on broad and deep product knowledge and understanding of customer issues.

Champion customer requirements throughout the development process.

Participates in customer engagement channels.

Works closely with technical support to understand and resolve customer issues.

Technical Competency

Inspires a high level of confidence in testing abilities with limited oversight, often specifically requested by developers to test important or at risk functionality to assure a higher level of quality.

Can work beyond manual testing - understand fixes through code review, testing through code and generate automation test cases instead of manual.

A product expert, provides valuable expertise to multiple areas, as well as seamlessly taking on new and more complex functionality with little or no oversight.

Estimates and schedules own work accurately and with little supervision.

Team Work

Greater influence on junior team members.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Confidently communicates and collaborates with other functions on technical issues.

Serves as a reference to other team members.
