The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our growing team in Gurgaon. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies that ensure the quality and performance of our web and API applications. You'll work closely with developers, automation engineers, and QA leadership within Agile teams to deliver high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases and scenarios based on user stories and functional requirements
- Perform manual testing of web applications, APIs, and backend systems
- Collaborate with automation engineers to design and execute automation test cases (if applicable)
- Log, track, and verify bugs using tools like JIRA, ensuring thorough defect documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure software stability
- Communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics clearly to the QA Manager and other stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date test documentation using tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray
- Collaborate with the QA Manager to optimize QA processes, tools, and best practices
- Support performance testing and test data management activities when required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing strategies, and the Agile SDLC
- Proficient in manual testing with exposure to automation tools like Selenium or Functionize
- Familiar with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAPUI
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, TestRail)
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within Agile teams
