We are seeking an expert in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) to define, build and deploy our strategy for ensuring broad adoption of the AWS machine learning platform amongst the top Indian startups. With Amazon Artificial Intelligence (Amazon AI), which leverages Amazons deep investments in AI over the last 20 years, Amazon Wed Services (AWS), the cloud product line of Amazon, is focused on bringing that knowledge and capability to customers in India to help them solve complex business challenges through three layers of the cloud-based AI stack Frameworks and Infrastructure with tools like Apache MXNet and TensorFlow, API driven services to quickly add intelligence to applications, and Machine Learning platforms. As a result, we see more and more amazing AI work being done on AWS cloud across education, healthcare, media & entertainment, travel and almost every industry vertical.

Amazon internet Services Private Limited (AISPL), the local reseller of AWS Services in India is looking for a Business Development Manager for Artificial Intelligence. You will be someone who is deeply excited about this space, passionate about helping customers understand the value proposition of AWS AI services and how AI can make a big difference to fast growing start-ups. As the business development manager for AI within AISPL, you will work closely with the AISPL business development teams, as well as solution architect, partner and marketing teams to promote and provide guidance on the value proposition of the AWS ML platform to startups, venture capital and angel investors, accelerators and incubators in India.


You will be responsible for building strategic programs and mechanisms for AISPL for identifying and engaging with target startups, developing and managing relationships with key venture capital investors, startup organizations and startups in India, and operating as an AI/ML subject matter expert in its pursuit of getting and keeping the best startups in India on AISPL account.

The ideal candidate will possess a business and machine learning/data analytics background, and a foundation of having directly driven customer engagement and interactions at the highest levels of startups and their backers (VCs, accelerators, incubators). The candidate will have the technical depth and business experience to easily communicate the benefits of ML services, platforms and frameworks in the AWS cloud to IT architects, engineering teams, C-level executives and venture capitalists. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of startups in India.

Continuously assessing and analyzing the market landscape and opportunity for engaging with AISPLs customers in India for AWS ML services.
Developing a mechanism for continuous identification and prioritization of startups in India to target for AWS ML platform adoption, and developing and owning metrics and goals relating to startup adoption of the AWS ML platform for AISPLs customers in India.
Conceiving, developing and launching scalable campaigns, initiatives, programs and mechanisms for AISPL for engaging with, educating and guiding startups in India on how to build their business utilizing the AWS ML platform.
Developing and managing relationships with key startup influencers within the AI/ML ecosystem, including venture capital and angel investors, accelerators, incubators and other industry organizations and
Producing AWS AI/ML thought leadership and educational events for the startup ecosystem in India.
Discovering, capturing and reporting learnings from the field about customer to AISPLs management on challenges and opportunities as they relate to the use of AWS ML platform.
Collaborating with multiple functional teams to better serve the AI/ML needs of AISPLs startup customers in India, and engaging in senior level customer meetings to discuss customer business challenges and explore how the AWS ML platform can help address those challenges for AISPLs customers.
Informing, influencing and contributing to the work of other functional teams in AISPL including marketing, business development, compliance, security, and product teams around AWS ML services.
Serving as an evangelist and subject matter expert for the AWS ML platform within AISPL and externally.
Preparing and giving business reviews to the AISPLs senior management team regarding progress and metrics to growing startup adoption of the AWS ML platform.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Some relevant technical knowledge is helpful in areas such as: database systems, core distributed computing concepts, fundamentals of cloud computing and virtualization, storage systems, etc.10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, and/or product management experience in the AI and/or advanced-technology arena
10+ years of senior business development, executive leadership, startup operating/leadership, or technical marketing/ sales experience.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Strong analytical, verbal/written communications skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data and market analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate strategic recommendations to the business.
Experience with, and detailed knowledge of machine learning technologies and applications.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external organizations
Degree required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Business-level experience with machine learning platforms
Startup founder/CXO experience and / or VC investment experience
Implementation experience with MXNet, TensorFlow, Theano, Caffe, or other deep learning frameworks
Implementation experience with advanced analytics, including machine learning, and predictive modelling
Familiarity with AWS Services
Experience with AWS AI services
MBA or equivalent executive level experience
