DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the pioneer and recognized leader in Cloud Computing. Our web services provide a platform for IT infrastructure in-the-cloud that is used by hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses around the world. These customers range from start-ups to leading web companies to Global 2000 companies in financial services, pharmaceuticals, and technology. AWS customers look for ways to improve their deployment of AWS via excellent customer experience, and often times want to augment their cloud deployments with sophisticated new capabilities. While doing so they also want to reduce complexities and costs, and this is done by transforming their operational and financial business models. A new service called AWS Managed Services (AMS) is focused on helping accelerate Global 2000 Enterprise adoption of cloud services by providing a service that automates and helps them operate their infrastructure services on AWS in a secure, compliant, and scalable posture.

AISPL is seeking a Solutions Architect (SA) for the AMS offering. The SA will be responsible for understanding the challenges customers face in rapid cloud adoption such as concerns on security, acceptability to their auditors/regulators, cost governance, time to provision and set up initial landing zones and test instances etc. The SA will work with AISPL professional services, BDMs and partners to configure the specific set of services and capabilities the customer needs to get started rapidly. The SA will also help position value proposition and benefit those customers and partners can achieve with the service.

In addition, the SA will work with his/her peers across regions to identify common use cases that demos can be built around to help customers visualise the benefits before subscribing to AMS services. He/she will also collate customer and partner feedback besides from internal stakeholders to share with the HQ service teams to ensure newer capabilities reflect local requirements. The SA will work closely with the Cloud Economics teams as well as the AMS BD to establish help define business cases for customers unsure of the cost benefit comparison. He/she will also help customers understand the alignment of AMS to standard ITIL practices to help them onboard the service with minimal friction.

The ideal candidate will possess deep IT background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact with tech leaders of large Enterprises and Enterprise partners. The candidate will have the technical depth and executive presence to easily communicate the benefits of cloud computing and managed cloud services to IT architects, engineering teams, and C-Level executives where applicable. The ideal candidate will also be deeply familiar with complex legacy IT environments, managed enterprise IT infrastructure services, Enterprise applications, ITIL, and has done managed services deployment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Define enterprise focused use cases around the AMS offering;
Engage, support and scale business development, architecture and partner teams across AISPL to be capable of delivering the AMS value proposition to enterprise customers and partners;
Exhibit proactive ability and expertise in setting customer discussions
Exhibit cloud managed services expertise and experienced handling and scaling campaigns with enterprises and enterprise partners;
Exhibit expertise and drive field and partner readiness for enterprise customers;
Engage in senior tech meetings to discuss customers business issues and explore how AMS can address and resolve these issues.
Serve as an evangelist for the new service within AISPL, and externally
Develop a set of use cases and training material around the same to enable partners and internal teams
Help liaise with peers in the region and HQ to ensure our needs are factored into product road maps and material being developed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The right person will be analytical, and possess 5-10 years (total 10-15 years) managed services or outsourcing deployment and ongoing operations, hosted and managed services in technology industry at the enterprise level
Deep tech expertise in on boarding new customers into managed services
Strong presales skills to unearth needs and map the same to AMS features
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as presentation and demo skills.
Ideally must have trained deeply technical people in newer tech products and features
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Exposure to AWS or similar services from a managed services perspective
Experience selling to Fortune 1000 and/or Global 2000 organizations;
Some experience of helping build demos and collaterals
Some experience of helping calculate business cases
