This is a Data Analyst - Planning & Fulfilment, reporting to Team Manager in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Bangalore and will be responsible for maintaining product in-stock rates above the specified KPI levels through forecasting models and also responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory including sales in excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice. Support internal customer service inquiries. Sets inventory parameters, inventory targets, and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

Your responsibilities

• Provide technical and thought leadership designing, testing and implementing methodologies in material planning activities.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to understand unexpected metric movements and communicate results to other relevant business stakeholders, planning and fulfillment managers and division team .
• Interface with buyers, material planning manager, commercial operation and sales and product management to understand data needs and help build data products that inform our Security posture and strategy.
• Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, Snowflake etc.
• Drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production.
• Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Power BI.
• Using the data analysis segments the portfolio of materials through an ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management and commercial policy.
• Defines inventory policies according to this segmentation.
• Maintains in the planning systems and the ERPs the inventory parameters: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
• Manages MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages daily.
• Supports cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting.
• Conducts financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducts root case analysis when necessary
• Perform Analysis using industry leading text mining, data mining and analytical tools to develop the excess and obsolete/aging inventory and initiate appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with sales, marketing, manufacturing and procurement and logistics.

Your background

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other technical field.
• 5+ years€™ experience doing quantitative analysis or statistical modeling.
• 5+ years writing SQL statements.
• 4+ years€™ experience using Python.
• Expertise in one of Python, R, Julia.
• Working knowledge of at least one modeling framework (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow, SAS, R, MATLAB, Erwin).
• Ability to communicate your analysis with clarity and precision.
• Experience implementing statistical models in production-grade code.
