This is a Global Technical Service Manager €“ SAP Basis role, reporting to Global IS Department Manager for SAP Technology and Solution Mapping, and based in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering highly available and productive SAP Infrastructure ensuring complete ownership around SAP Technology and its dependent services. The Service includes establishing relationship with ERP Owners across decentralized ERPs in BA€™s, Country Organizations & Global Core ERP. Will be responsible for hybrid infrastructure on Cloud and On-Premise, delivering Financial Operations and cost optimization through continuous improvement program.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact (SPOC) towards customer for all hosting (Cloud and On-Premise), SAP Basis, SAP security, such as consulting on standard requests, collecting, and prioritizing Non-Standard demand as well as qualifying and prioritizing requirements.
  • Responsible for service delivery and business management by owning and monitoring IS service delivery targets within ERP Domain and SAP basis Function. Involved in large audit and major security issues and where needed be involved in major compliance incidents.
  • Provides technical guidance and leadership for SAP Basis & Infrastructure demand both on Cloud and On-Premise, drives great execution. Work with the team to set expectations and deliver against them.
  • Coordinates the delivery of SAP Basis services to meet the required levels of quality. Ensure Service Delivery execution of their assigned activities within ERP Domain area. Deals with and provides input for any incident, change or projects which has, or might have, a major impact on SAP availability, Performance & cost for the relevant geographical area.
  • Supports the implementation of IS Strategy and the ABB IS Enterprise Architecture. Ensures satisfaction with IS services by assessing expectations, verifying that actions are taken to close any gaps, and influencing stakeholder perceptions of IS service.
  • Is responsible to act in compliance with Corporate IS Regulation and IS Policies; with ABB Regulations and ABB Guidelines of which accountability and responsibility for this position are derived; and with any other In-ternal Control regulations that may be assigned.
  • Ensures continuous engagement with all Stakeholders and Service delivery Partners. Ensures Partner Engagement & Performance Reviews. Adherence to IS process framework and governance model attends End to End Service Delivery process.
  • Resource management, Service Billing, & Cloud. Ensure optimization efforts for Infrastructure capacities on On-Premise & Cloud Infrastructure. Ensure continuous improvement objectives to optimize Vendor Service Deliver costs & Charge back to BA.

Your background

  • Bachelor€™s Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 8 Years of experience with 5 years managing SAP Basis & SAP Infrastructure.
  • Excellent knowledge on SAP Basis & SAP Infrastructure (On-Premise & Cloud) and Strong in leading IS vendors.
  • Strong experience of identifying and resolving issues between team members or other teams.
  • Excellent experience to figure out business requirements and how to translate into technical IS capabilities and solutions.
  • Strong experience in project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle. Experience of IS business performance and requirements management.
  • ITIL 4 foundation certification is a must, Other ITIL professional certification, COBIT, Six Sigma, TOGAF desired.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work in a complex, multicultural and global team.
