Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Data Scientist to lead cutting-edge AI/ML initiatives. You ll work on Recommendation Engines, Chatbots, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver real-world, scalable solutions that directly impact product performance and customer engagement.

This role requires strong technical expertise, innovation, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Recommendation Systems using collaborative filtering, matrix factorization, and content-based filtering.
• Build intelligent Chatbots and virtual assistants with NLP capabilities for automated customer interaction.
• Develop Generative AI models for content creation, automation, and intelligent business processes.
• Research and implement Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, BERT, T5 for domain-specific applications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI/ML models into production-ready systems.
• Perform data exploration, preprocessing, and feature engineering on large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and contribute new ideas for innovation and process improvement.
• Mentor junior team members, promote best practices, and lead by example in AI/ML project execution.
• Translate business requirements into machine learning solutions in collaboration with product and business teams.
• Ensure ethical AI practices and implement explainability and bias-mitigation strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying Recommendation Engines at scale.
• Proven expertise in NLP and Conversational AI (chatbots, virtual assistants).
• Deep knowledge of Generative AI models including Transformers and GANs.
• Proficiency with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5, etc.).
• Strong command of Python and ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, NLTK, NumPy, Pandas.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for ML model deployment.
• Solid experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and querying large datasets using SQL/NoSQL.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and workflows for deploying and monitoring ML models in production.
• Strong mathematical and statistical foundation in model development and evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Reinforcement Learning and personalization in recommendation systems.
• Understanding of ethical AI, fairness, and bias detection techniques.
• Prior exposure to A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and AI performance monitoring.
• Experience mentoring junior data scientists and leading cross-functional AI/ML projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
