Production Manager Job in Combustion Research Associates

Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure a continuous improvement process of the production process and a culture in line with ideas such as Kaizen and 5S
• Develop and ensure the proper implementation of quality,safety,and environmental management systems such as ISO 9001 and 14001
• Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high-quality products against aggressive production targets
• Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability
• Work closely with Project Managers, ProcurementManagers,and the Manufacturing Team to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Implement Project Management techniques to maintain a production schedule, maximize machine utilization, minimize costs, and meet delivery targets
• Maintain extensive documentation and generate reports to ensure transparency,accessibility , and an organized functioning. Attention to detail, computer and data literacy, and consistency is key.
• Follow and implement effective workshop management practices to maximize space and machine utilization. This includes machine maintenance and calibration.
• Work with the quality team to set standards and monitor aspects such as incoming raw material, manufacturing quality issues, and product testing.
• Work with procurement and inventory team to monitor raw material availability, timely material ordering, proper storage, and tracking.
• Work with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure that proper manufacturing processes are planned for and implemented

Qualifications

• A bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university. Can be substituted with extensive experience and a growth mindset.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably in an engineer to order (ETO) job shop environment
• Experience and understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes such as machining, fabrication, and welding.
• Experience with documentation (especially using MS 365) and implementing project management techniques to production.
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization skills
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
