Lead Software Engineer

Location: Pune

Cornerstone is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune. This is a key technical leadership role focused on designing and delivering scalable solutions for some of the world's most innovative and forward-thinking organizations.

As a Lead Engineer, you will lead development efforts, mentor junior engineers, and play a pivotal role in driving high-quality product delivery in an Agile environment. This role includes ownership of technical execution, collaboration across global teams, and hands-on contributions across the full stack.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable SaaS applications on private and public cloud environments
• Work with technologies including ASP.NET, C#, .NET, React, and CI/CD pipelines
• Serve as Scrum Lead, guiding your team through Agile sprints and regular release cycles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and delivery roadmaps
• Own your code from development through deployment, monitoring, and support
• Ensure strong test coverage through unit, integration, and functional tests
• Guide team members on best practices related to quality, performance, security, and maintainability
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to fellow engineers
• Incorporate privacy and security considerations into development workflows

What We re Looking For:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 6+ years of professional experience building web-based applications with ASP.NET, C#, .NET
• Strong understanding of relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
• Familiarity with Gen AI tools or foundational knowledge of AI integration
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience working in Agile or Lean development environments
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

Bonus Points For:

• Advanced proficiency in C# and .NET Core
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and microservices architecture
• Background in building and deploying RESTful APIs or SOA systems
• Exposure to continuous deployment practices
