SeS Financial Risk Team
The Agency Securities Lending Business has recently returned to CB and will once again be a part of the wider Securities Services (SeS) product offering.
ASL Risk Management is responsible for protecting the Business against loss by exercising pro-active credit and market risk management. Due to the indemnity offered to our clients it is important to demonstrate that sound risk management procedures are in place and key risk drivers are identified to position the portfolio against any potential headwinds.
To be successful in the role the candidate will need to be able to liaise effectively between the SeS Risk Manager based in London as well as ASL Business Management, Sales, Client & Product Management, CRM/BRM, Legal and Finance.

Your key responsibilities
To assist in the active management of both counterparty credit risk and market risk across the portfolio globally including:
- Re-establish the full suite of ASL risk management reporting including but not limited to the weekly collateral reports, ASL risk dashboard and counterparty stress testing functionality, counterparty exposure monitoring.
- Assist in the creation of the quarterly risk committee deck working closely with the SeS Risk Manager in London.
- Review counterparty credit exposures and investigate/validate any limit breaches
- Undertake regular analysis of the underlying collateral pool in order to identify any concentration build ups, weak asset classes, wrong way risk etc
- Complete ad-hoc requests such as collateral analysis, trade analysis by counterparty, exposure (PFE) analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations/data/analysis as requested by the SeS Risk Manager
Your skills and experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in an credit/market risk management role preferably in a trading business, however, CRM/MRM will be considered
- A basic understanding of traded product risk (VaR, mtm, PFE etc) preferably in securities lending and repo/reverse repo
- Experience of DB risk systems preferred
- A well developed approach to quickly assimilating knowledge in relation to Agency Securities Lending (front-to-back processes).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to digest, organise and summarise large amounts of trade data
- A demonstrable track-record in the end-to-end delivery of large complex initiatives (ASL Risk Dashboard and Stress Test Model) Modelling/coding experience required
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in the use of VBS coding, advanced Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification
