About the Role

As an Android Developer at EaseMyTrip.com, you will take a lead role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Android applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to innovate and implement new features, integrate APIs, and optimize app performance. Your responsibilities will include rigorous testing, adopting emerging technologies, and managing the complete mobile development lifecycle, all within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Lead the architecture and development of Android apps to deliver a seamless, efficient, and robust user experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to define and ship new app features.
  • API Integration: Connect the app with external data sources and RESTful APIs to enrich functionality.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough unit testing covering robustness, edge cases, usability, and reliability.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and fix bugs, and continually improve app performance.
  • Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging tools and technologies, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Technical Support & Guidance: Assist team members with problem-solving and technical challenges.
  • Feasibility & Estimation: Evaluate feature feasibility and provide realistic time estimates for delivery.
  • Market & Trend Analysis: Keep updated on Android development trends, architectures, and best practices.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the mobile app lifecycle from concept to launch and ongoing support.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Proven software development experience with a strong Android portfolio; published at least one original Android app.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Android SDK, Kotlin, and Android Studio.
  • API Proficiency: Experienced with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries.
  • Innovative Mindset: Ability to research and adopt new technologies for development efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled at communicating technical challenges and collaborating on solutions.
  • Mobile Landscape Knowledge: Deep understanding of mobile architectures, trends, and development lifecycles.
