RF Engineer - Navi Mumbai
We are looking for a passionate RF engineer to join our engineering team. He/she should have good understanding of radio frequency system design. The work involves designing various system RF electronics which supports the hardware the most optimum way.
Job Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai
Required Experience:
- 5 Years minimum experience in Robotics system designing or show us that you are as good as anyone & we will waive this requirement.
- B.Tech/B.E in Electrical engineering, or M-tech in relative field.
Responsibilities:
- RF System Design: Design and develop RF systems and subsystems for defense applications, including radar, communication, and electronic warfare systems.
- RF Circuit Design: Design RF circuits, including amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and mixers, using simulation tools and considering factors such as linearity, noise, and power consumption.
- Antenna Design: Design and optimize antenna systems for specific applications, including array antennas, phased arrays, and antennas for mobile and stationary platforms.
- RF Testing and Characterization: Develop and execute test plans to characterize RF components and systems, including RF performance, linearity, noise figure, and intermodulation distortion.
- RF Simulation and Modeling: Use simulation tools such as ADS, CST Microwave Studio, or HFSS to model and simulate RF components and systems for performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Integration: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineers, electronics engineers, and software engineers, to integrate RF systems into overall product designs.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure RF systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations for defense applications, including RF emissions, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and safety standards.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation including design specifications, test procedures, and compliance reports.
- Manage the project for successful completion. Prepare aggressive but realistic timelines and execute it with success.
Skills Required:
- RF Design: Proficiency in RF circuit design principles, including understanding of RF components such as amplifiers, filters, mixers, and oscillators.
- Antenna Design: Experience in antenna design and optimization, including knowledge of antenna theory, radiation patterns, and impedance matching techniques.
- RF Testing: Experience in RF testing and characterization using equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Simulation Tools: Proficiency in RF simulation and modeling tools such as ADS, CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, or similar.
- RF Measurement Techniques: Knowledge of RF measurement techniques and standards, including calibration procedures and uncertainty analysis.
- EMI/EMC: Understanding of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles, and experience in mitigating EMI/EMC issues in RF systems.
- RF PCB Layout: Experience in RF PCB layout techniques to optimize performance, minimize signal loss, and control impedance matching.
- RF Front-End Design: Knowledge of RF front-end design principles, including low-noise amplifiers (LNAs), power amplifiers (PAs), and RF switches. Proficiency in Linux is a must.
- Biased, but for action/execution.
- Self-Driven, do not require constant input to do the job.
- Focussed, like John Wick.
Good to have Skills:
- Defence experience: Prior experience in military grade RF electronic system designing.
- FPGA Programming: Experience with FPGA programming using VHDL or Verilog for signal processing and control applications.
- Software-Defined Radio (SDR): Experience with software-defined radio platforms and frameworks for prototyping and implementing RF systems.
- Security: Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they apply to RF systems and experience implementing security features in RF systems.
- knowledge of wide array of RF systems used in defence ecosystem.
- Knowledge of the world defence ecosystem is a plus.
