Job Summary

Job Title: Design Engineer Electrical

Function: Electrical Design, Detailing, and Proposal Preparation for Pharmaceutical Turnkey Projects

Location: Andheri, Mumbai (Head Office)

Reporting To: Manager International

Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and technically proficient Design Engineer Electrical to support electrical design, costing, and proposal development for pharmaceutical turnkey projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed specifications, layouts, and bills of quantities, while coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and vendors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.E. in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years in electrical design, estimation, and execution support, preferably in the pharmaceutical or infrastructure domain

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare item specifications, bill of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and layout drawings for various electrical systems during the pre-sales stage.
  • Design and estimate for the following systems:
    • Internal Electrical Systems: Lighting, switches, sockets, conduits, wiring, distribution boards (DBs), UPS, etc.
    • Low Current Systems: CCTV, access control, telephone/data networks, fire alarm systems, PA systems, etc.
    • High Voltage Systems: HT/LT panels, transformers, diesel generators, power cabling, earthing systems, lightning arrestors, etc.
  • Analyze tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate technical and commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with clients and consultants for technical clarifications and proposal discussions.
  • Liaise with vendors to obtain quotations and technical data for costing and comparison.
  • Ensure alignment of all designs and offers with project specifications, timelines, and client requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems design and estimation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical layout and schematic design.
  • Experience in offer and proposal preparation for engineering or turnkey projects.
  • Good communication skills for client and vendor interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

B.E. in Electrical Engineering
