Role Overview

We re looking for a dynamic Engineering Manager who can lead by example writing scalable, performant code while mentoring high-performing teams. Beyond traditional engineering leadership, we value individuals who embrace AI as a development accelerator, using tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and ChatGPT to enhance productivity across coding, testing, and documentation. As an Engineering Manager at Fynd, you ll take ownership of end-to-end architecture, build web applications, and manage teams across backend and frontend technologies. You ll also play a key role in shaping our cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers, encouraging innovation and ownership.
• Architect, design, and deliver scalable backend systems using Node.js and Python.
• Build responsive and secure frontend applications with React.js, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, GPT-4, Cursor) to accelerate development cycles scaffolding, testing, debugging, and documenting code.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS including Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, etc.
• Design and optimize databases with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Define and implement engineering best practices across CI/CD, code reviews, testing, security, and deployment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and DevOps to ship impactful features.
• Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high system availability.
• Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement within the team and the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience, including 3+ years in engineering leadership.
• Expertise in Node.js, Python, and React.js.
• Strong experience in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and scalable data modeling.
• Proven track record in cloud-native architecture and microservices, with hands-on AWS experience.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Strong communication, mentorship, and team-building skills.
• Experience in leading engineering teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
