Job Title: Head of Accounts and Finance

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Accounts and Finance to lead the company s financial operations and ensure optimal management of financial resources. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in finance and accounting within the stock broking industry, coupled with proven leadership skills to drive financial strategy and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and accounting standards.

Accounting Oversight:

• Manage accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute financial strategies to support company growth and profitability goals.
• Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to stock broking industry-specific regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Risk Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks including market, credit, and operational risks.
• Implement risk management frameworks and controls.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting teams to foster a collaborative, efficient, and high-performing environment.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Prepare and present clear financial reports and analyses to stakeholders including senior management, board members, and investors.

Process Improvement:

• Continuously assess and improve financial processes, systems, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master s degree and/or professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the stock broking or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance specific to the stock broking sector.
• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
