About the Role:
We re looking for a skilled and motivated Software Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans for custom-developed applications, with a strong focus on automation testing. You will work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute functional, system, integration, regression, and performance tests
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (mandatory), Protractor, and Postman
- Participate in planning, requirement analysis, and test strategy discussions with cross-functional teams
- Prepare test estimates, schedules, and documentation (test cases, test plans, QA checklists)
- Collaborate closely with developers and project managers to ensure alignment and quality goals
- Identify, log, track, and validate defects; perform root cause analysis
- Own end-to-end quality for assigned applications, proactively resolving testing issues
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying gaps and implementing automation where possible
- Provide timely updates and escalations on project status, risks, and blockers
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree with 4 5 years of software testing experience
- Minimum 2+ years in automation testing
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Selenium (mandatory); familiarity with Protractor and Postman
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, or Perl)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Experience in LMS/eLearning domains is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Deep understanding of web applications and data flow
- Strong test planning and estimation skills
- Working knowledge of HTML5
- Experience creating reusable automation frameworks
