About the Role
At Medanta The Medicity, Patna, we re seeking a committed and skilled CTVS ICU Nurse to join our critical care team. You ll play a vital role in caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, delivering advanced ICU care, and helping families through critical moments with compassion and confidence.
What You ll Do
Cardiac & Critical Care
- Manage cardiac conditions like hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias
- Monitor and assess heart devices: pacemakers, defibrillators, telemetry, etc.
- Conduct and interpret cardiac tests: ECGs, stress tests, CT angiograms, and more
- Support medication management and physical evaluations
- Educate patients on heart health, lifestyle changes, and prevention
CTVS ICU Responsibilities
- Deliver 24/7 care for post-op cardiothoracic patients in critical condition
- Quickly identify subtle changes in vitals and intervene to prevent complications
- Operate complex ICU equipment (IABP, ventilators, monitors, etc.)
- Assist with intubation/extubation, suctioning (E.T. & trach), and ventilator weaning
- Handle invasive lines, drains, tubes, and precise drug/fluid administration
- Provide end-of-life care, emotional support, and post-operative management
- Follow strict infection control protocols (barrier and reverse-barrier nursing)
Qualifications
- GNM / BSc Nursing / MSc Nursing
- Valid nursing registration (as per state norms)
- Certified in BLS and ACLS
Experience
1 3 years in ICU or cardiac critical care preferred
