Job Purpose

The Senior Relationship Officer (SRO) will be responsible for customer acquisition, referral partner management, and ensuring a seamless customer journey across secured (Gold-backed and LAP) and unsecured business loans. The role demands strong business development skills, local market understanding, and the ability to serve as a key relationship point between customers and the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Acquisition & Business Development
    • Identify new micro-markets and onboard high-potential referral partners.
    • Source customers for Micro LAP and Suvarna (Gold-backed business loans).
    • Execute field-level business development in assigned areas.
    • Conduct regular cold calls and daily sales visits as per plan.
    • Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with referral partners.
  • Customer Journey & Sales Enablement
    • Provide doorstep service to customers assisting at home or office.
    • Guide customers through loan application to disbursal, ensuring a smooth experience.
    • Collect and process applications in line with company policy.
    • Assist in early collections (soft bucket) and retention of existing customers.
    • Cross-sell insurance (property, life, health) to secured loan customers.
    • Promote customer satisfaction and build trust as the face of Muthoot Fincorp in the assigned area.
  • Channel & Market Support
    • Support Branch Business Manager with insights on market trends and local opportunities.
    • Act as a bridge between customers, referral partners, and the branch.
    • Monitor and report on local market activities, competitor moves, and customer feedback.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Strong customer acquisition and retention orientation
  • Proven relationship-building and stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication in English and local language
  • Process-driven with strong knowledge of retail lending, LAP, and home loans
  • Proficiency in cross-selling/upselling financial products
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Result-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset

Desired Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in retail assets, especially in home loans, LAP, or affordable housing finance.
  • Experience working in field sales, particularly within NBFCs or lending institutions.
