Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Lead to drive the design and development of automotive components and systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Creo, a strong background in mechanical design principles, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes for plastics, sheet metal, and die casting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine 3D models of automotive components such as engines, transmissions, chassis, body panels, and enclosures using Creo.
• Assemble individual components into larger vehicle modules or systems within the CAD environment.
• Create and evaluate conceptual designs based on customer requirements and engineering standards.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost using Creo s advanced design tools such as Behavioral Modeling.
• Perform FEA and CFD simulations using Creo to validate mechanical performance under stress, thermal, and dynamic conditions.
• Design complex sheet metal parts and freeform surfaces for bodywork, enclosures, and aerodynamic structures.
• Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions, GD&T, and annotations.
• Apply robust design methodologies including DFMEA, DFA, and DFM to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development and lead design reviews.
• Support the design and development of plastic components, especially for instrument clusters, infotainment systems, and display housings.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• Expert-level proficiency in Creo and strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Deep understanding of plastic component design, sheet metal, and die casting processes.
• Proven experience in product design and development, including:
  • Design calculations
  • Design of Experiments (DoE)
  • GD&T and stack-up analysis
  • Design validation and optimization
• Knowledge of LCD/TFT instrument clusters, infotainment systems, and related mechanical packaging.
• Strong command of design for manufacturing and assembly principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
