About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise, a solid understanding of scalable architectures, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code. You will play a key role in designing and building high-performance backend systems that support our business applications.

Required Skills

• Node.js, JavaScript
• Express.js, LoopBack (NestJS exposure is a plus)
• REST API development
• MySQL or other relational databases

Good to Have

• AWS or other cloud platforms
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Architect backend solutions during the requirement and design phases.
• Build and integrate secure, high-performance REST APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system design and functionality.
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and adherence to best development practices.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services.

Technical Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with Node.js.
• Proficiency with backend frameworks such as Express, LoopBack, or NestJS.
• Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Good understanding of scalable system architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with code quality tools such as ESLint, Prettier, and static analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience managing production deployments and monitoring applications.
