What You ll Do

• Lead the design, architecture, and hands-on development of scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient distributed transactional systems
• Build and optimize highly available data storage solutions supporting mission-critical Salesforce applications
• Develop clean, high-quality code primarily in Java or C within Unix/Linux environments, applying modern OOP techniques and design patterns
• Utilize telemetry and metrics-driven development to ensure operational excellence and system health
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment, contributing to continual team process improvement
• Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in code reviews and testing to maintain high-quality standards
• Solve complex challenges related to clustering, system programming, and cloud-native deployment
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver incremental, reliable system improvements on public cloud platforms
• Employ knowledge of Kubernetes, public cloud APIs, and distributed systems internals to optimize deployment and scalability

Qualifications & Skills

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience, or M.Tech with 12+ years of relevant experience
• Proven track record in designing and delivering large-scale distributed and transactional systems in enterprise production environments
• Strong proficiency in Java or C programming on Unix/Linux platforms
• Deep understanding of relational databases, distributed systems architecture, and fault-tolerant storage
• Experience using metrics, telemetry, and monitoring tools to drive system improvements and operational reliability
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and commitment to continuous delivery and improvement
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, collaborate, and influence within a dynamic engineering team
• Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and deployment automation is highly desirable
