Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality and usability of web and mobile applications. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and clients to ensure a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to ensure clarity and testability.
• Design comprehensive test plans and test cases covering functional, regression, UI/UX, and integration testing.
• Perform manual and automated testing on web and mobile applications.
• Execute black box, white box, performance, and security testing as needed.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium or other open-source frameworks.
• Log, track, and retest bugs using JIRA, Zoho Projects, or similar test management tools.
• Perform regression testing to ensure the integrity of software builds.
• Collaborate with developers, product leads, and support teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth releases.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
• Perform root cause analysis and support defect prevention activities.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in QA testing, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 1 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of software testing types, QA processes, and SDLC/STLC.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).
• Familiarity with SQL and scripting for database testing.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.
• Exposure to test management tools like JIRA, Zoho Sprints, Confluence, GitHub, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (BCA/MCA/B.Tech/B.E.)
• Experience in performance testing, security testing, or mobile app testing is a plus.
• Knowledge of Java, Python, or other languages used in automated test scripting.

Educational Qualification

• UG: BCA / B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Computer Science, IT or related fields
