Position: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Bengaluru Industry: Automation / Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) / Semiconductor (preferred) Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE) 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in machinery or automation sectors Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (mandatory), such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or NX Strong expertise in selection and integration of OEM components: motors, couplings, bearings, linear motion guides, O-rings Knowledge of weldment processes, machining for structural design, and sheet metal fabrication for enclosures Ability to create detailed 3D models and GD&T drawings for manufacturing Experience in design calculations like LM guide movement, coupling torque, and O-ring sizing (a plus) Familiarity with semiconductor industry design activities is advantageous Working knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, and cooling systems is beneficial Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate US time zone meetings Responsibilities: Develop and generate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings adhering to design standards Perform design calculations and validate engineering designs to ensure accuracy and feasibility Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to select and integrate OEM components appropriately Participate in structural and sheet metal enclosure design and development Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, especially in semiconductor and automation domains Provide technical support on pneumatic, vacuum, and cooling systems as needed Perform additional related duties as assigned to support project and team objectives Qualification : Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (BE)
