Job Title: Embedded Design Researcher Advanced Robotics Location: Noida Role Overview As an Embedded Design Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge embedded systems, integrating firmware and hardware, optimizing performance, and driving innovation through design, testing, and collaboration. You will work as part of the Advanced Robotics team, contributing to groundbreaking projects such as Collaborative Robots, Quadrupeds (Trakr), Remote Ultrasound Solutions, and Bi-Ped Robots all aimed at transforming the future of robotics. Key Responsibilities Design and develop embedded hardware and software solutions, including microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems. Integrate firmware and hardware, ensuring seamless system operation. Conduct research in embedded systems focusing on algorithm development, system optimization, and performance improvements. Design and simulate circuits and PCBs. Integrate hardware components such as sensors, actuators, and communication modules. Develop low-level firmware in C, C++, and Python, with a focus on real-time performance and power optimization. Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers. Document research findings and contribute to technical papers or presentations. Optimize embedded systems for performance, energy efficiency, and real-time responsiveness. Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of embedded systems using automated testing frameworks and debugging tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. Education & Experience PhD or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation Engineering, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, Robotics, or related fields. 2 to 5 years of experience in embedded system design and development. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in C, C++, and Python for embedded development. Experience with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or Embedded Linux). Hands-on experience with hardware design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Eagle, along with circuit simulation. Expertise in FOC control, motor drivers, and BLDC motors. Knowledge of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi). Familiarity with embedded boards, sensors, motors, IMUs, and actuators. Experience with embedded development environments (Keil, IAR, Eclipse). Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and issue tracking tools. Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink for embedded system modeling and simulation. Experience in prototype development and iterative design processes. Key Responsibilities Design and implement AI algorithms for robotic systems, focusing on computer vision, perception, motion planning, and reinforcement learning. Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, GANs) for applications like object recognition, path planning, and autonomous decision-making. Enhance RL/IL processes to improve sample efficiency, learning speed, and scalability. Apply reinforcement learning techniques to optimize robotic behaviors such as navigation, manipulation, and task execution. Train multimodal robot foundation models using large-scale datasets. Optimize AI models for real-time performance and deployment on robotic platforms. Use data augmentation and simulation techniques to improve model robustness. Education & Experience PhD or Master s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields. 2 to 5 years of experience in AI research and development for robotic systems. Technical Skills Proficiency in Python, C++, and CUDA for AI development and optimization. Experience with AI frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and scikit-learn. Strong knowledge of reinforcement learning, deep learning, and general machine learning techniques. Familiarity with Foundation Models, Physical AI, and Visual Language Action (VLA) Models is preferred. Knowledge of robotic sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) and Robot Operating System (ROS). Hands-on experience developing real-time AI algorithms for robotic platforms. Ability to handle large datasets, perform thorough model evaluation, and optimize for computational efficiency and real-time processing. Qualification : PhD or Masters degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
