Deep knowledge and production-level experience with Apache Lucene. Proficiency in associated technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or other Lucene-based libraries. Strong understanding of search algorithms, indexing mechanisms, and query optimization techniques. Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles. Experience working with high-throughput systems and scalable, distributed architectures. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Experience integrating search capabilities in cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP). Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), semantic search, and vector search technologies. Exposure to machine learning models for relevance tuning and personalized search. Background in performance benchmarking tools and profiling techniques. Lead the development of mission-critical search and indexing features used by enterprise customers.
