QA Automation Engineer Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Execution Write test scripts based on a comprehensive test plan covering all testing phases. Review test plans and test cases with the QA Lead and Business Analyst. Execute functional, integration, and regression test cases. Roles & Responsibilities Take ownership of end-to-end QA practice for product development and delivery. Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases to understand the system and user flows in the insurance domain. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements. Perform end-to-end manual testing for insurance applications, focusing on accuracy, usability, and functionality. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure smooth and reliable performance. Identify, log, and track defects in the defect management system, ensuring timely resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure proper understanding and testing of system changes. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to ensure alignment with agile testing processes. Review and provide feedback on project documentation, including user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies in testing activities. Mentor junior testers and help develop best practices for testing in the insurance domain. Prepare detailed test reports, provide testing metrics, and report on the quality of the system before release. Technical Skills Bachelor s degree in engineering, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university. 7+ years of experience in manual testing, with at least 2 years in the insurance domain. Strong knowledge of insurance processes (e.g., Claims, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing). Proficiency in designing and executing manual test cases and working with defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM). Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies (Waterfall, Agile). Experience working with API testing and databases (e.g., SQL) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly document test cases and defects. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT) is an added advantage.
