About the Role

At Medanta The Medicity, Patna, we re looking for a compassionate and skilled Orthopedic Staff Nurse to support patients on their journey to recovery after injuries, surgeries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You'll play a key role in delivering pre- and post-operative care, assisting in therapy, managing pain, and helping patients regain mobility and independence.

What You ll Do

Orthopedic Nursing Care

Care for patients with:

• Fractures, arthritis, osteoporosis
• Joint replacements, arthroplasty
• Degenerative bone diseases and trauma (e.g. road traffic accidents)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor neurovascular status and perform external fixation care, casting, and CPM therapy
• Administer medications and treatments as per post-op care plans
• Assist patients with physiotherapy routines and mobility exercises
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, infection prevention, and recovery steps
• Perform wound dressings and manage drains, tubes, and invasive lines
• Support patients with personal care tasks during recovery
• Prepare patients for radiology and orthopedic surgical procedures
• Deliver both pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring a safe and smooth recovery process
• Work closely with surgeons, rehab teams, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• GNM / BSc Nursing / MSc Nursing
• Valid registration with the state nursing council
• BLS & ACLS certification (required)

Experience

1 3 years in orthopedic, trauma, or surgical nursing preferred
