Manager It Finops And Cloud Cost Management - Technology It Job in Signant Health

As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be: Continuously monitor cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Developing and implementing strategies to optimize cloud costs. Collaborating with finance, Cloud Operations, and IT teams to drive cost optimization initiatives. Track annual costs savings. Analysing cloud usage patterns and trends to identify areas for optimization. Recommending changes to cloud service usage, pricing models, and purchasing options Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast and track cloud costs on a customer and product basis. Working with cloud service providers to negotiate pricing and contracts. Creating reports & dashboards to track and communicate cloud cost optimization efforts. Help manage all IT and Cloud Operations spend, tracking actuals against forecast and updating forecast to match. Assist the Cloud Operations and IT leaders to manage all aspects of cost including public cloud, SaaS software and consulting. You ll need to bring: Experience with FinOps practices: Experience implementing and maintaining FinOps practices and methodologies is also important, including knowledge of cost optimization frameworks such as AWS Well-Architected Framework, and experience using FinOps tools and platforms (AWS Cost Explorer, AWS WAF QuickSite, Azure Cost Analyser etc) Financial management skills: Knowledge of financial management principles and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This includes experience in financial modelling and cost analysis. Data analysis skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including data visualization. Collaboration and communication skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential as you will need to work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology, to achieve cost optimization goals. Cloud computing expertise: A basic understanding of cloud computing services, including cloud infrastructure, software, and platform as a service (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS), as well as experience working with major cloud service providers such as AWS and Azure Cloud. Knowledge of industry regulations: Basic knowledge or familiarity with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 is also important, as they may impact cloud usage and cost optimization strategies.
