The Opportunity We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Machine Learning Engineer II to develop next-gen AI-powered features focused on image editing, generative AI, and multimodal creative experiences within Adobe Express. You will drive cutting-edge ML and AI workflows, including personalized assistants, intelligent editing tools, and LLM-integrated creative workflows. Experience Requirements 12+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, computer vision, NLP, or related domains. Track record of delivering production-grade ML models and scalable AI systems. Experience with LLMs, agent-based systems, and generative AI models is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy scalable ML pipelines across the entire lifecycle training, inference, and optimization. Build generative AI features and intelligent assistants for Adobe Express, particularly in the image editing domain. Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents to support dynamic and multimodal creative workflows. Collaborate across product, design, and engineering to translate user needs into AI-powered features. Architect sub-agent frameworks to modularize tasks such as content generation, smart editing, and design assistance. Contribute to experimentation infrastructure, including A/B testing, performance tracking, and continuous learning. Stay current on research in generative AI, federated learning, and optimization techniques for low-latency inference. Champion AI-first practices and mentor peers to foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation. Required Skills Programming: Proficient in Python (for model development) and C++ (for performance-sensitive systems). Frameworks: Deep experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and modern GenAI toolkits. AI Expertise: Practical experience with LLMs, computer vision, NLP, multimodal models, and agent-based design. Systems: Proven ability to build ML pipelines at scale both in cloud and on-device environments. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field. Published research or patents in AI/ML, especially in generative modeling or AI-assisted creativity. Experience with federated learning, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), and real-time inference optimization.
