Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Department: ETG Location: Coimbatore Experience Required: 5 10 Years Education: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related fields M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related fields Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of fuel, oil, and water pumps for automotive applications. The ideal candidate should have strong CAD skills, hands-on experience with prototyping and validation, and a deep understanding of component manufacturing and system integration. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of mechanical pump systems for automotive applications (fuel, oil, water). Create detailed 3D and 2D CAD designs using Creo; manage design data using PLM systems. Support prototype builds and testing at bench and vehicle levels. Conduct FEA and CFD simulations to optimize performance, durability, and design integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Coordinate with suppliers for component feasibility, tooling, and manufacturing processes (die casting, plastic injection, etc.). Prepare BOMs, perform cost estimations, and explore opportunities for cost reduction. Manage product validation, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions effectively. Interact with customers to gather requirements, conduct design reviews, and provide technical support. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and drive continuous improvement in design quality and cost efficiency. Technical Expertise Required: Strong understanding of Fuel Pump, Oil Pump, and Water Pump design principles. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools Creo preferred. Experience with aluminium die casting, pressure casting, plastic injection moulding, and gravity casting (GI). Skilled in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMA). Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and PLM/SAP systems. Job Title: Mechanical Design Lead Department: ETG Location: Coimbatore Experience Required: 5 15 Years Education: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical or Mechatronics Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Lead to drive the design and development of automotive components and systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Creo, a strong background in mechanical design principles, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes for plastics, sheet metal, and die casting. Key Responsibilities: Develop and refine 3D models of automotive components such as engines, transmissions, chassis, body panels, and enclosures using Creo. Assemble individual components into larger vehicle modules or systems within the CAD environment. Create and evaluate conceptual designs based on customer requirements and engineering standards. Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost using Creo s advanced design tools such as Behavioral Modeling. Perform FEA and CFD simulations using Creo to validate mechanical performance under stress, thermal, and dynamic conditions. Design complex sheet metal parts and freeform surfaces for bodywork, enclosures, and aerodynamic structures. Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with accurate dimensions, GD&T, and annotations. Apply robust design methodologies including DFMEA, DFA, and DFM to ensure product quality and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development and lead design reviews. Support the design and development of plastic components, especially for instrument clusters, infotainment systems, and display housings. Technical Skills & Requirements: Expert-level proficiency in Creo and strong working knowledge of AutoCAD. Deep understanding of plastic component design, sheet metal, and die casting processes. Proven experience in product design and development, including: Design calculations Design of Experiments (DoE) GD&T and stack-up analysis Design validation and optimization Knowledge of LCD/TFT instrument clusters, infotainment systems, and related mechanical packaging. Strong command of design for manufacturing and assembly principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
