Role: Software Engineer As a software engineer at Apexon, you ll have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge technology solutions that make a global impact, particularly in the area of cancer diagnostics. Key Responsibilities: Software Development: Propose and evaluate design options, review code, and analyze requirements. Implement high-quality code and tests in web APIs, databases, cloud components, and analysis pipeline execution. Process & Operations: Ensure test automation and regulatory compliance are integrated into software development practices. Apply Lean principles for continuous improvement of team processes and product quality. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. 4-6 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications and services. Strong leadership skills to guide teams towards successful project execution. Experience in building software products using Java, Spring Boot, REST API, and microservices architecture. Proficient with data structures like Stack, Queue, LinkedList, and algorithms. Experience developing and deploying production software on public cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure. Ability to participate in architectural discussions and take ownership of projects for delivering high-quality software. Experience collaborating with software architects on application deployment architecture for optimal product stability, performance, security, and supportability on the cloud. Familiar with relational and NoSQL databases. Commitment to Agile/Lean practices and scalable architecture. Ability to develop reusable inner- or open-sourced components for multiple projects. Experience with behavior-driven or test-driven development. Experience partnering with security and compliance teams to meet software requirements. Ability to maintain high software quality by adhering to best practices within the team. Proven ability to work with globally distributed, multicultural teams.
