Job Title: WordPress Developer Experience Required: 1 6 Years Location: Chennai Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our web development team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in building custom themes and plugins, optimizing site performance, and working with popular WordPress tools and plugins such as WooCommerce and WPML. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects and delivering pixel-perfect, responsive websites under tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites. Build and customize themes and plugins based on project requirements. Handle WordPress site migration from other platforms efficiently. Integrate and configure plugins such as WPML, WooCommerce, and Membership plugins. Optimize page speed performance and ensure best practices for SEO and CRO. Convert complex PSD layouts into pixel-perfect HTML5/CSS3 templates. Design and implement responsive websites compatible across all devices. Troubleshoot and resolve cross-browser compatibility and technical issues. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Maintain high coding standards with strong attention to detail. Required Skills & Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of the WordPress platform and core architecture. Strong experience in creating custom themes and plugins. Proficiency in: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, AJAX Plugin integrations (WooCommerce, WPML, etc.) Experience working in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and frameworks. Familiarity with browser compatibility issues and best practices. Strong understanding of W3C Web Standards, Semantic Markup, and Accessibility Guidelines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do: Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Analytics to build the best possible product for members and enterprise partners. Develop robust, scalable back-end systems: Design and develop scalable back-end systems for high-availability applications. Build and maintain APIs: Create secure, complex APIs that allow seamless communication between back-end and front-end applications. Create performant front-end applications: Develop front-end applications that are both highly performant and user-friendly. Deploy frequently: Use a streamlined CI/CD pipeline to deploy new features to production regularly. Explore new technologies: Stay open-minded and explore new technologies with your team to improve and evolve the platform. Improve reliability: Increase test coverage and troubleshoot production issues. Mentor junior engineers: Provide guidance, code reviews, and constructive feedback to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth. Drive continuous improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities for improvements that enhance both the user and developer experience. What Will Help You Succeed: We are looking for someone with experience across the full stack, but you don't need to match every technology listed. The following qualifications will help you thrive in this role: 8+ years of experience in a software engineering role, building high-availability, large-scale web applications. Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Mentorship experience with a proven track record of providing constructive feedback during code and design reviews. Ability to architect, scope, prioritize, estimate, and deliver projects while balancing speed with quality. Familiarity with programming languages such as: Ruby JavaScript/TypeScript SQL Experience with back-end frameworks and platforms such as: Ruby on Rails Apollo (GraphQL) Front-end framework experience, especially: React NextJS Familiarity with infrastructure technologies like: Postgres or other relational databases Docker AWS (Lambda, SQS, etc.) CloudFormation Passion for sustainability and a drive to contribute to a clean energy future.
