About the Role: Rapidops is looking for a talented Sr. WordPress Developer to create and manage WordPress sites. You will be responsible for both backend and frontend development, including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins, as well as migrating and managing the site on the client s environment. Key Responsibilities: Client Interaction: Meet with clients to discuss website design and function, ensuring their vision and requirements are met. Feature Development: Design and implement new features and functionality for WordPress sites. Customization: Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on the provided design. Troubleshooting: Address and resolve content issues that arise on the website. Server Management: Work with Production and Staging servers (AWS, Google Cloud, cPanel, etc.) to ensure smooth website operation. Version Control: Utilize Git, BitBucket, or GitLab repositories for code management and collaboration. Site Migration: Complete the site migration on the server, including database and source files, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Required Skills & Qualifications: Plugin Expertise: Expertise in WP Plugin Integration such as WooCommerce, WPML, Membership plugins, ACF, Event Manager, Gravity Forms, Contact Form, etc. Technical Skills: Strong experience working with core PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress Custom Theme Development. Custom Development: Expertise in WordPress Plugin Development, Theme Customizations, and WooCommerce & Payment Gateway Integrations. API Integrations: Solid experience in API integrations with various services and platforms. Database Technologies: Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies, with an emphasis on SQL optimization for WordPress. Web Technologies: Proficient knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, SaaS, JavaScript, and jQuery development skills. Responsive Design: Experience in developing responsive websites based on design files from PSD, Figma, or Sketch. WordPress Architecture: A solid understanding of WordPress architecture and the ability to perform database and code optimization for WordPress. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to understand client requirements and communicate effectively. Project Management: Ability to handle and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and with high quality.
