About the Role: Oracle s CGIU Enterprise Communications Platform engineering team is seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to support our development teams throughout the DevOps lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Automated Systems: Design, implement, and maintain automated build, deployment, and testing systems to streamline the software development lifecycle. Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize build and deployment processes for high-volume, high-availability systems, ensuring efficient delivery and scalability. Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Monitor production systems to ensure high availability and optimal performance, proactively identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management. Mandatory Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud environment. Education: Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (4-year program). Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java or Python programming. Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). Expertise in Terraform and managing infrastructure as code. Solid experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools for building and deploying applications. Strong familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies. Advanced troubleshooting skills in Kubernetes environments during deployments. Experience with Bash/Python scripting for automation and process improvement. Understanding and working knowledge of REST APIs. Solid background in Linux administration. Experience in designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines. Thorough understanding of DevOps culture and Agile Methodology. Good to Have: SaaS & Multi-Tenant development experience. Cloud Security and knowledge of cybersecurity in cloud environments. Experience with the Java programming language. Familiarity with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). Previous experience in telecommunications and networking environments.
