Process Design Engineer Department: Dastur Energy Location: Kolkata Experience: 3 7 years Education: Mandatory: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Preferred: M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Job Description We are looking for a skilled Process Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the basic and detailed engineering of utility systems such as pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, HVAC, tanks, and storage systems. This role involves end-to-end design responsibilities and offers the opportunity to work on high-impact energy projects across the chemical, refinery, petrochemical, and electrolysis industries. Key Responsibilities Perform basic and detailed engineering for utility systems including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, HVAC, and tanks/storage systems. Develop and deliver key engineering documents such as: Design Basis Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Heat and Material Balances Equipment Sizing and Specifications Process Equipment Datasheets Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Pipeline Sizing Calculations HAZOP Documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and project alignment. Ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards. Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and risk assessments (HAZOP, SIL, etc.). Qualification : M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
