Position: Water & Effluent Treatment Specialist Engineer Department: Water, Gas & Utilities Location: Kolkata Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Water & Effluent Treatment Specialist Engineer to drive the engineering of water and effluent treatment systems. The role involves developing both basic and detailed designs for raw water treatment plants, effluent treatment plants (including Zero Liquid Discharge systems), and sewage treatment plants. Develop procurement specifications and conduct technical evaluations for equipment and system purchases. Review and oversee water pre-treatment, water treatment, and effluent treatment designs for various industries, including steel plants, refineries, petrochemical plants, and other process industries. Design and engineer Sewage Treatment Plants, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations. Provide hands-on design and engineering support for water and effluent treatment projects. Mentor and guide a team of Water & Effluent Treatment engineers, ensuring technical excellence. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders on technical and techno-commercial aspects of water and effluent treatment projects. Skills & Expertise Proven experience in basic and detailed engineering for water treatment, effluent treatment, and sewage treatment systems, including ZLD systems. Expertise in creating and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, layout plans, equipment datasheets, and BOQs. Knowledge of procurement specifications and conducting technical evaluations for water treatment systems. In-depth experience with water pre-treatment, water treatment, effluent treatment, and sewage treatment projects for large-scale industries such as steel plants and petrochemical facilities. Ability to manage and lead a small team of engineers. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, customers, and cross-functional teams. Qualifications Education: B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering. Experience: 10-14 years of experience in water and effluent treatment engineering, particularly in large industrial sectors such as steel, refineries, and petrochemical plants.
