Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend services and system architectures using Java. Architect and build reusable code and libraries to support efficient application development and future scalability. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Lead, mentor, and guide engineering teams to deliver high-quality, optimized code in adherence to organizational standards and best practices. Manage and optimize search and retrieval performance internally, contributing to information retrieval components. Required Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, focusing on large-scale distributed systems, complex software design, scalability, and performance optimization. Strong proficiency in Java server-side development. Experience in information retrieval systems with an emphasis on optimizing internal search performance. Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage project deliverables. In-depth knowledge of algorithms and data structures. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master s degree preferred). Experience with coding standards, version control systems (especially Git), and software best practices. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Preferred Skills and Technologies Familiarity with open-source tools and frameworks such as Tomcat, Lucene, Zookeeper, Kafka, Netty, and NoSQL databases. Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms. Strong understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, and system scaling techniques.
