Scope: This role is responsible for client projects that involve route designing and the synthesis of molecules according to client specifications. Safety Compliance: Discuss and review MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) with the team to identify and mitigate potential safety risks with supervisor assistance. Analytical Monitoring: Monitor reactions and use analytical techniques to observe progress. Identify appropriate workup and purification methods to ensure desired compound quality. Reporting & Documentation: Analyze and interpret analytical data, and report synthesis results accurately. Prepare weekly, monthly, and final reports as required by the client. Project Management Support: Support project managers by helping finalize project estimations, identifying relevant literature, and proposing appropriate synthetic routes/reaction designs. Safety & Equipment Maintenance: Enforce good laboratory practices and ensure the maintenance of equipment, adhering to safety and quality systems. Team Development: Guide and mentor junior team members in organic chemistry techniques, analytical methods, and project execution. Regularly review performance and train team members. Functional/Technical Skills: Chemistry Knowledge: Expertise in organic chemistry (particularly synthesis) and analytical techniques. Safety Protocols: Strong understanding of safety standards in the laboratory environment. Data Integrity & Confidentiality: Knowledge of IP protection, data integrity, and confidentiality policies. Cost-Benefit Analysis: Ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses for resource optimization. Required Qualifications: Educational Requirements: MSc in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry with 1 5 years of relevant experience OR Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Fellowship in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry with 1 3 years of relevant experience. Produce intermediary/final compounds of the desired quality. Reporting & Documentation: Analyze analytical data, interpret results, and document findings accurately in lab notebooks. Prepare reports as required by the client, maintaining data integrity and IP confidentiality. Safety and Quality Practices: Follow good laboratory practices, ensuring maintenance of equipment and instruments according to SOPs. Maintain proper housekeeping norms in the lab. General Summary: The Software Test Engineer will play a critical role in testing Qualcomm Sensing Hub features for various Qualcomm products. The position includes test planning, test case development, execution, and hands-on testing in both lab and field settings. Work Experience: 1+ year of work or academic experience with software/system testing and automation tools. 4-6 years of experience testing embedded systems and developing automated test cases/frameworks. Technical Skills: Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Java. Experience with Android application programming. Knowledge of debugging embedded systems and isolating issues. Familiarity with Qualcomm test tools (Axiom, QXDM, QDSS, etc.) and DIAG implementation. Exposure to sensors (e.g., inertial, pressure, ambient light) and related test equipment. Other Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global team environment. Basic understanding of radios, audio, camera features, and related test procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Master s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
