Job Description Main Duties & Responsibilities: Identify Improvement Needs: Propose and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs across tasks. Technology & Process Analysis: Analyze new ideas and needs, develop proposals to stakeholders for solutions. Operational Meetings: Participate in operational meetings to identify needs and discuss potential solutions. Supervision & Planning: Oversee activities related to maintenance (PCM), warehouse operations, and implement best practices. Project Participation: Contribute to operational improvements and new project developments. Communication: Facilitate communication of needs identified by internal customers at various levels, including operational and managerial. Control of Maintenance Budget: Oversee the control and request of capital (capex) and operational expenditure (opex) for maintenance. KPI Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance and warehouse operations. Training & Development: Train and develop maintenance employees, ensuring alignment with work routines and sector-specific standards. Food Safety Management: Enforce food quality and safety policies, ensuring compliance with the company s quality policy. Integrated Management System (IMS): Maintain IMS standards, ensuring compliance across all areas under your responsibility. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations and corrective actions for incidents, non-conformities, audits, and risks within the area. Emergency Procedures: Ensure compliance with the emergency plan and ensure all personnel understand their roles in the event of an incident. Skills & Competencies: Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of the maintenance of coffee process machinery. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical mindset to identify areas for improvement and troubleshoot issues. Project Management: Good understanding of project management principles to oversee operational improvements. Communication: Effective communicator and negotiator, ensuring clear and concise discussions with stakeholders. Leadership: Strong people management skills with the ability to lead teams and foster collaboration. MS Office: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Project for effective data analysis and project management. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Quality Monitoring: Oversee the quality of arrival, dispatch (export and domestic), and production at Koppa and outside warehouses. Update quality reports and ensure payment processes are aligned with quality standards. Coffee Quality Management: Retain coffee quality during storage at the warehouse. Send pre and post-shipment samples to buyers (both international and domestic) and track their status. Allocate coffee lots for shipment and cup incoming and outgoing samples to meet client standards. Ensure coffee sent to buyers meets the required quality standards. Operational Coordination: Collaborate with traders to handle domestic, international, and exchange-quality coffee. Implement food safety management processes at the warehouse. Work on mill production quality, update outturn reports, and track batch outturn and P&L. Manage storage losses or gains and report accordingly. Reporting & Coordination: Share weekly and monthly reports with the Regional Quality & Food Safety Manager. Coordinate with external warehouse teams on arrival, dispatch, and storage activities. Collaborate with the commercial team to buy and sell specialty and low-grade coffees. Team Leadership: Train and mentor new employees for efficient execution of activities. Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and ensure corrective actions where necessary. Create stocklots for the sale of unused coffee. Quality Control and Safety: Monitor approvals/rejections with customers and assess adjustments to be made. Ensure all coffee released meets the expected quality standards. Open service orders to warehouses to guarantee product quality. Participate in SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) programs, audits, and inspections, fostering a safe and healthy workplace. Policy & Procedure Compliance: Enforce Food Quality and Safety policies and comply with the company's quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure the team adheres to them. Required Skills & Competencies: Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in coffee quality, with an understanding of both Arabica and Robusta coffee crops. Good grasp of coffee process & warehousing. Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent analytical mindset for quality assessments. Strong business communication and presentation skills. People Management: Proven ability in people coordination and team management. Minimum Experience: 8+ years of experience in coffee quality management. Education: Graduates or equivalent qualifications. Languages: Proficiency in Kannada and English is required.
