The ideal candidate will be proficient in metal shaping, forging, and processing, with strong technical knowledge of **furnaces, welding, and metalworking tools**. Key Responsibilities Furnace Operation: Operate furnaces and metal heating equipment to achieve desired metal temperatures. Shaping & Forging: Shape and forge metal using anvils, blacksmithing hand tools, and power tools. Welding: Perform welding and join metals accurately. Preparation: Measure and prepare metals for heating and processing. Material Selection: Select and apply appropriate filler metals as needed. Monitoring: Monitor furnace operations to prevent damage and maintain consistent temperature. Smithing Techniques: Apply smithing techniques for shaping and forming metals. Safety & Maintenance: Load and handle raw materials into furnaces safely. Maintain and operate machinery while following safety protocols and wearing protective gear. Quality Control: Ensure metal processing aligns with production specifications and quality standards. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Proficiency: Machine Control, Tool Management, Metal Cutting, Metal Processing. Temperature Control: Ability to ensure correct metal temperature and prevent damage during processing. Forging Expertise: Expertise in forging techniques and blacksmithing hand tools. Aptitude: Strong visualization, originality, and fluency of ideas. Precision: Arm-hand steadiness and precision in metalwork. Process Knowledge: Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and material handling. Required Knowledge Fine Arts: Understanding of composition, design, and visual aesthetics. Design: Ability to read and interpret **blueprints, technical drawings, and models**. Computers & Electronics: Basic knowledge of electronic tools and equipment for process monitoring. English Language: Effective communication and understanding of technical instructions. Production & Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, manufacturing processes, and cost-effective production techniques. Required Experience & Education Experience: Prior work experience as a **Blacksmith or in sheet metal forming**. Education: Master of Engineering (MEng), Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Master of Science (MS), Associate of Science (AS), or Associate of Arts & Sciences (AAS).
