Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Department: ETG Location: Coimbatore Experience Required: 5 10 Years Education: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related fields M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related fields Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of fuel, oil, and water pumps for automotive applications. The ideal candidate should have strong CAD skills, hands-on experience with prototyping and validation, and a deep understanding of component manufacturing and system integration. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of mechanical pump systems for automotive applications (fuel, oil, water). Create detailed 3D and 2D CAD designs using Creo; manage design data using PLM systems. Support prototype builds and testing at bench and vehicle levels. Conduct FEA and CFD simulations to optimize performance, durability, and design integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Coordinate with suppliers for component feasibility, tooling, and manufacturing processes (die casting, plastic injection, etc.). Prepare BOMs, perform cost estimations, and explore opportunities for cost reduction. Manage product validation, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions effectively. Interact with customers to gather requirements, conduct design reviews, and provide technical support. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and drive continuous improvement in design quality and cost efficiency. Technical Expertise Required: Strong understanding of Fuel Pump, Oil Pump, and Water Pump design principles. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools Creo preferred. Experience with aluminium die casting, pressure casting, plastic injection moulding, and gravity casting (GI). Skilled in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMA). Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and PLM/SAP systems. About the Role: Senior Frontend Engineer (Angular) As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will architect and implement dynamic, responsive, and high-performance web applications using the latest Angular framework (v14 18+). Key Responsibilities: Lead frontend development using Angular 14 18+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS. Build pixel-perfect, responsive UI components from Figma designs, ensuring accessibility, SEO-friendliness, and future scalability. Implement component-driven development, reusable Web Components (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM), dark mode, and RTL support. Leverage Angular Universal, Nest.js, and Nx workspace for server-side rendering and scalable architecture. Utilize RxJS for reactive programming and implement robust state management strategies. Write unit tests (Jest) and end-to-end tests (Playwright) to ensure high-quality, production-ready code. Analyze logs and frontend issues with sentry.io or similar performance monitoring tools. Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and backend teams for end-to-end feature delivery. Ideal Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of professional experience with Angular (preferably versions 14+). Advanced proficiency in TypeScript 4+, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS. Strong knowledge of responsive design, grid systems, breakpoints, and modern asset formats (SVG, WebP). Experience with Routing, Reactive Forms, RxJS, Jest, and performance optimization techniques. Proficiency in state management, lifecycle hooks, DI, and component communication. Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. Familiarity with Angular's newest features (v18+) and contributions to large-scale enterprise applications.
