Job Title: Cluster Head Department: PDM Domestic Business Location: Madurai Reporting To: Regional Head / Zonal Head Experience Required: 10 15 Years (Minimum 5 years as Branch Head in the AMC industry) Qualification: MBA (Mandatory) Certifications: NISM Certified (Mandatory) Role Overview: The Cluster Head is a senior leadership position responsible for managing a group of branches within the assigned cluster, including the base branch. The role involves driving revenue, ensuring operational excellence, managing high-performance teams, and maintaining strict compliance standards. The Cluster Head is a key strategic driver of business growth, customer engagement, and team development within the Asset Management (Mutual Fund) domain. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development & Revenue Generation Drive business across branches through new customer acquisition and wallet-share expansion. Implement strategic sales plans to achieve cluster revenue targets. Ensure alignment with regional and national sales objectives. Foster collaboration with distributors, HNIs, and institutional clients. 2. Branch Operations & Process Management Monitor daily operations of all branches in the cluster for process efficiency. Ensure audit readiness and compliance with regulatory standards (SEBI, AMFI, KYC, AML). Recommend new branch locations and ensure setup aligns with brand and operational standards. Optimize operational costs without compromising service quality. 3. Team Leadership & Capability Building Lead and inspire Branch Managers and their teams toward achieving business KPIs. Identify training needs, conduct coaching sessions, and enable succession planning. Drive employee engagement, accountability, and high morale across teams. 4. Client & Distributor Relationship Management Build strong relationships with key investors, IFAs, channel partners, and institutions. Ensure timely resolution of high-priority client escalations. Enhance brand value through consistent, high-quality service delivery. 5. Compliance, Risk & Audit Monitor strict adherence to internal control processes, regulatory norms, and operational audits. Close audit observations within stipulated timelines and conduct branch visits for risk checks. Ensure cluster-wide compliance with SEBI and AMFI guidelines. 6. Channel Development & Optimization Oversee the performance of various sales channels retail, corporate, and banking (SBG). Strategically expand and strengthen the distributor and partner network within the cluster. Enhance visibility and market penetration through effective channel utilization. 7. Investor Awareness & Branding Organize and oversee Investor Awareness Programs (IAPs) and brand promotion activities. Represent the AMC at industry forums and customer-facing events as a brand ambassador. 8. Strategic Implementation & MIS Execute national and regional sales strategies effectively across the cluster. Work with marketing and product teams to roll out targeted campaigns. Analyze branch performance data, highlight trends, and share actionable reports with senior leadership. Key Skills & Competencies: Sales & Business Development: Proven ability to generate and scale mutual fund business. People Management: Strong experience in mentoring, motivating, and leading cross-functional teams. Client Relationship Management: Experience handling HNIs, IFAs, SMEs, and Institutional Clients. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze performance data and implement strategic interventions. Compliance-Oriented: Sound knowledge of SEBI, AMFI, KYC/AML norms. Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Leadership: Strategic thinking with execution focus and high emotional intelligence. Mandatory Requirements: MBA with at least 10 15 years of total experience in financial services. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Branch Head in Asset Management / Mutual Fund industry. NISM Mutual Fund Distributor Certification is mandatory. Desirable Attributes: Hands-on experience managing teams across multiple locations. Deep understanding of mutual fund products, market dynamics, and investor behavior. Strong local market knowledge of Tamil Nadu / Southern India will be an advantage.
