Job Title: Back-End Developer / Backend Engineer Job Type: Full-time Job Description: WebGuruz is seeking a skilled Back-End Developer or Backend Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the technology behind a website, ensuring that the server-side of web applications runs smoothly. As a Back-End Developer, you'll be responsible for the functionality, performance, and scalability of websites, supporting the user interfaces designed by the front-end team. The ideal candidate will have experience in server-side technologies, database management, and a strong understanding of web development. You will also be responsible for team handling and client interaction, ensuring smooth project execution and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Backend Development: Develop and maintain the server-side logic and APIs for web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. Team Handling: Manage a team of developers, ensuring the team delivers high-quality code, follows coding standards, and adheres to project timelines. Client Interaction: Regular client calls to understand business requirements, create technology specifications, and provide updates on project progress. Collaborate with Front-End Developers: Work closely with the front-end team to ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end technologies. Process Improvement: Review and improve current development processes and methodologies to ensure efficiency and quality. Code Quality: Write high-quality, maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Documentation: Maintain proper documentation for the back-end systems and codebase. Training & Mentoring: Provide training to team members and mentor them to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest technologies and development practices. Status Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly project status reports to the Project Manager. Required Skills and Experience: Languages: In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and other front-end technologies. Frameworks: Familiarity with React.js, Node.js, and other related tools and frameworks. Backend Technologies: Proficiency in at least one server-side technology (such as Java, PHP, or Node.js). Databases: Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL. Version Control: Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems. User Interface Design: Exposure to user interface design and integrating front-end with back-end functionalities. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and the team. Team Management: Prior experience in leading a team of developers and ensuring project delivery on time. Desired Skills: MEAN Stack: Experience working with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js). Angular: Proficiency in Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
