Overview Main Purpose: The North America Associate Enterprise Architect will provide a support role to the North America Enterprise Architecture team in developing the architecture deliverables such as conceptual, logical, and physical architecture according to the provided templates. The associate architect will also perform the necessary due diligence as directed by the EA team in different pursuits and gather the necessary information for decision making. This may include working with PepsiCo internal teams as well as external players such as potential vendors and/or research analysts. Accuntability: Onboard and retire applications in ServiceNow based on the approvals provided by the lead architects Develop North America EA status reports as requested by the leadership Support maintenance of EA artifacts in SharePoint and Teams Support the evaluation and selection of solutions/platforms and solution components, as necessary. Analyze and review business, functional and technical requirements and maintain the required artifacts Leverage knowledge of best practices for enterprise functions such as security, performance, development, and application governance to become a trusted advisor across PepsiCo. Responsibilities Key Skills Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or similar field, Masters preferred. 5+ years of software industry experience. 2+ years of solution architecture experience. Understanding of PepsiCo s Consumer and Customer North star architecture developed by the domain architects and apply it in the development of the solution architecture. Understanding of PepsiCo Enterprise Data Foundation (EDF) architecture, data integration patterns and data & analytics concepts. Understanding of integration technologies and patterns; data architecture and patterns. Understanding of technology trends in the Supply chain areas and aptitude to learn about technologies such as IoT, Computer vision, AR/VR and their applicability in various use cases Ability to demonstrate a mindset for the Conceptual, Logical, Physical levels of architecture and apply them effectively. Systems thinking, understanding of relationships between various systems. Knowledge of cloud native principles, modern software development stack (Java based Microservices, Event driven programming, PHP, Node.js, React.js, React Native, HTML5, REST/SOAP APIs,) and modern software development process (lean, Agile, SAFE, DevOps, CI/CD) Demonstrable ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration. The Primary role of a Senior DBA is to work with Oracle EBS database 19cand Oracle EBS 12.24 version. Candidate will be very hands-on and will be ensuring production up-time service levels are maintained and made available per requirements that include backup, recovery, refresh, performance tuning, and security (physical and data). Key Accountabilities: Designs, Installs, maintains and controls the organization's production and non-production databases. Provides on-call support for production environments. Provides 24/7 support for various activities including: Database maintenance, application releases, disaster recovery, database upgrades, and patching. Play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance and security of the databases. Collaborates on the development of technical and security standards with another database administrators and technical resources. Teamwork: Communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner. Skills: Proficiency in more than one RDBMS and OS technology. Experience in file structures, design, retrieval and access methods and related tasks. Understands the systems development process and has a solid understanding of business processes. Analytical ability, good communication skills, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff. Strong performance tuning skills. Project leadership skills. Knowledge in the following areas: IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, architectures and technical standards, database administration tools and utilities, application architectures and design principles, infrastructure architectures - backup and recovery systems, storage subsystems. Provides consultation to application developers in SQL coding and tuning, and coding and deployment of stored procedures. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of Data Guard and DR concepts. Knowledge of Oracle EBS system administration to monitor concurrent requests and collect information on job logs. Proficient knowledge to manage and monitor WebLogic Server, SOA Suite and Vertex. Comfort with Linux and windows able to login to various environments, start/stop/monitor services in these environments determine status or issues in these environments. Unix shell scripting. Excellent communication skills. Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related work experience. OCI Certification. Minimum Work Experience: Extended hands-on work experience in supporting Oracle RDBMS in a multi-platform environment. Has worked with other enterprise RDBMS vendors. 7-10 Years of experience as Oracle APPS DBA. Qualification : Bachelors degree in computer science or a related work experience.
