Technical Specialist Armoured Vehicles Location: Pune Experience: 5 10 Years Education: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Specialist Armoured Vehicles to join our engineering team in Pune. The role involves the end-to-end design, integration, and development of armoured vehicle systems, with a focus on CAD-based design, vehicle packaging, and aggregate integration. Job Purpose: To lead the design and development of armoured vehicles, ensuring functional integration of mechanical systems and effective packaging using advanced CAD tools. Key Responsibilities: Design & Integration: Perform vehicle integration and packaging of key aggregates (powertrain, suspension, electronics, etc.) using Creo or CATIA software. Design components including armoured hulls, braking systems, pneumatics, and other critical mechanical subsystems. Ensure optimal space utilization and system compatibility within the vehicle structure. Execution & Implementation: Translate technical requirements into detailed CAD models and engineering drawings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with performance, safety, and protection standards. Required Skills & Competencies: Functional Skills: In-depth knowledge of vehicle packaging principles, specifically for armoured vehicle platforms Strong understanding of mechanical systems integration in defense or specialized vehicle domains Technical Skills: Proficiency in CREO and/or CATIA for 3D modeling and design documentation Familiarity with defense standards and automotive design protocols Soft Skills / Behavioral Competencies: Effective stakeholder management across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams Solid project management abilities to drive timelines and coordinate technical deliverables Qualification : B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

In-depth knowledge of vehicle Durability domain for theory, objective & subjective assessment, experimental data analysis, durability target setting, root cause analysis. In depth knowledge of vehicle subsystem / systems (e.g., Body, trims, Powertrain, Suspension, Chassis etc) for construction, operation & its dynamics. Expert in meshing and modelling software in Automotive companies or Engineering services company with hands on Durability-CAE tools. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the plant complies with all applicable environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Performance Reporting: Maintain quality records and documentation, and report quality results to internal and external stakeholders. Your Profile Education & Experience Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Master s preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within the automotive industry. Proven experience in managing customer relationships and leading cross-functional teams. Technical Competencies Strong knowledge of production quality systems and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D). Process-driven approach with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Working knowledge of industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.). Soft Skills Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities. Effective collaborator across departments and with external partners. Bi-lingual preferred (English required; French or German is a plus). High integrity with a commitment to FORVIA s ethical standards and management principles.
