Role Overview We are looking for a driven and field-oriented Procurement Associate to lead market linkage and procurement initiatives across key agri-commodity regions. This role is ideal for professionals with strong negotiation skills, deep knowledge of the agri-commodity sector, and a passion for working with grassroots-level retailers and aggregators. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with Agri Input Retailers and local aggregators. Maintain accurate records of commodity procurement, pricing trends, and supplier data. Conduct regular analysis of local trade channels (e.g., Khad Vij Vikreta, Aadatis). Plan and execute procurement for key commodities like Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Mustard, Soya, Gram, Millet, Barley, Black Gram, etc. Negotiate pricing and supply terms to secure favorable deals. Ensure quality control (QC) on at least two major commodities from your assigned geography. Maintain a robust database of suppliers, delivery timelines, and potential sourcing opportunities. Work collaboratively with the Procurement Manager and internal teams to meet procurement targets. Requirements Must-Have Skills: In-depth knowledge of at least two key commodities prevalent in your region. Willingness to travel a minimum of 50 km daily within rural and semi-urban areas. Readiness to relocate within Bihar, if required. Hands-on experience in agri-commodity procurement, especially for Wheat, Maize, Paddy, Gaur Seeds, and Mustard. Good-to-Have Skills: Exposure to quality management and price negotiation in agri-procurement. Understanding of commodity purchasing strategies and regional market dynamics.
