Position Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Location: Kolkata, India Category: PM & QA Employment Type: Full-Time Seniority Level: Senior Experience Required: Minimum 3 years (Automation and Manual Testing) Job Description We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of our enterprise software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality software that aligns with client requirements and expectations. Roles & Responsibilities Test Planning: Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and technical specs. Manual Testing: Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and other platforms to validate functionality, performance, and security. Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins, or other automation frameworks. Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and work with developers to resolve defects and issues promptly. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that new software releases don t negatively impact existing features. Performance Testing: Execute load and stress tests to assess application scalability and performance. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed test documentation and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Collaboration: Partner with developers, analysts, and project teams to understand requirements and deliver effective testing solutions. Skills Required Selenium Jenkins TestNG Manual Testing Automation Testing Performance Testing Version control systems (Git or similar) API Testing (Postman, RestAssured) Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer testing large-scale applications. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and software development lifecycle (SDLC). Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, and TestNG. Solid expertise in both manual and automation testing. Experience with API testing using Postman or RestAssured. Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation. Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies. Excellent English communication and teamwork skills. Bachelor s degree in any discipline. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with the Cucumber BDD framework. Familiarity with performance/load testing tools. Certifications such as ISTQB, Certified ScrumMaster, or equivalent. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, etc. Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Experience in enterprise software and multi-team project environments.
