Position Overview: As the Senior Director of Hardware Engineering, you will be responsible for building and leading a talented hardware engineering team. You will drive the hardware design and development process, manage cross-functional collaborations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping our product portfolio and aligning efforts with broader organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Recruit, build, and lead the hardware engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Foster team development by setting clear goals and objectives to drive performance and inspire innovation. Product Development: Oversee the design and development of cellular and Wi-Fi enterprise-class routers, ensuring products meet market and customer requirements. Manage the end-to-end hardware development process, from initial design to final delivery. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with firmware/software engineering, product management, and operations teams to align hardware engineering with company objectives. Ensure effective communication and synchronization between hardware and software development teams. ODM and JDM Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas ODM (Original Design Manufacturers) and JDM (Joint Design Manufacturers) partners. Manage cross-border communications, program management, and collaboration to meet project timelines and quality standards. Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the hardware engineering team, driving innovation and continuous improvement. Influence senior leadership by presenting technical strategies and initiatives clearly and effectively. Market and Industry Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to maintain a competitive edge. Lead efforts to enhance product offerings based on market dynamics and technological advancements. Required Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: At least 10 years of engineering experience, with a focus on hardware design. At least 5 years of leadership experience in managing and inspiring engineering teams. Deep expertise in hardware design principles, methodologies, and best practices. Key Skills: Extensive experience working with overseas ODM and JDM partners. Proven ability to manage complex, global projects and drive product development from conception to completion. Expertise in developing cellular and Wi-Fi enterprise-class routers and understanding associated technologies and market requirements. Preferred Skills: Technical Expertise: Strong background in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), or Mechanical Engineering (ME) design. Program Management: Experience managing multiple engineering projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
