Job Title: Engineer OSP Fabrication Department: Vendor Development Job Location: Coimbatore Experience: 4-6 Years Qualification: B.E/DIP in Mechanical Number of Positions: 1 Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer OSP Fabrication to join our Vendor Development team. This role focuses on improving vendor performance, ensuring high-quality standards, and optimizing cost efficiency in fabrication processes. You will be responsible for managing suppliers, addressing production challenges, and ensuring that all customer-specific requirements are met. Key Responsibilities: Improving Vendor Performance: Work closely with vendors to enhance their capabilities in design, product development, costing, quality, and logistics. Managing Supplier Quality: Oversee the quality control process from prototype production to commercial manufacturing, ensuring vendors meet the required standards. Supporting Production Issues: Troubleshoot and support issues related to current production to minimize disruptions. Developing New Suppliers: Identify and develop new suppliers to reduce costs and increase production capacity while maintaining high-quality standards. Auditing Suppliers: Perform audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with internal processes and quality benchmarks. Managing Customer-Specific Requirements: Handle customer-specific requirements by working closely with stakeholders to meet exact specifications. Costing: Prepare cost calculations based on drawings, ensuring cost efficiency, and securing approval from management for proposed solutions. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in vendor development, fabrication, and cost working in a manufacturing environment. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of fabrication processes, quality management, and cost control. Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive project success. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and propose improvements that align with business objectives. Proficiency with Numbers: Comfortable working with cost data and financial analysis to make informed decisions. Education & Experience: Educational Qualification: B.E/DIP in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in vendor development, fabrication, and costing.
